AQUACULTURE AFRICA 2021 March 25–28, 2022 - Alexandria, Egypt
To all participants, exhibitors and sponsors: We wanted to get the new dates to you right away so you could change your flights and hotels. We will send information next week on registrations, abstracts and exhibitor contracts but all of these will be continued on to the new date along with new deadlines, etc.
March 25 would be the day of registration and exhibitors moving in and farm tours. March 26, 27, 28 is for the conference and the trade show and of course all the extra workshops, business meeting and staff meetings.
Due to the new variant of Covid-19 - Omicron and the extensive restrictions being put in place and more restrictions projected, we are postponing AFRAQ21 to 2022.
African Aquaculture 2021, the first meeting of the World Aquaculture Society Africa Chapter will go ahead as planned as an in-person event in Alexandria, Egypt. Having assessed the COVID-19 health and safety protocols in Egypt, approval by government and the convention centre (Alexandrina Bibliotheca), AFRAQ21 will go ahead as planned - as an in-person event.
WAS and AFRAQ21 Conference Management is cognizant of the need to hold the Conference under COVID-19 health and safety protocols as stipulated by the government of Egypt as well as the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, to ensure safety of Conference attendees. (vaccination and antigen test prior to enter the building)
Please note:
· Registration is open. Complete the online registration form
· Submission of abstracts and full papers has now been extended to 15th Febr 2022. All abstracts already submitted are valid and will be processed accordingly.
· Limited space is available for interested tradeshow exhibitors. Please contact: mario@marevent.com
· We urge participants to get vaccinated to reduce COVID-19 risks.
· Should there be any changes, this will be communicated to all timeously.
AQUACULTURE 2022 San Diego, US Febr 28-March 4, 2022. This is the triennial international event organised by the World Aquaculture Society.
WORLD AQUACULTURE 2021 Merida, Mexico May 24-27, 2022. The international event organised by the World Aquaculture Society is combining the Latin American & Caribbean Aquaculture 2021 event with the international WAS event.

World Aquaculture Society (WAS) is hosting the WAS NORTH AMERICA 2020 in partnership with the Aquaculture Association of Canada (AAC) and Newfoundland & Labrador Aquaculture Industry Association (NAIA) on August 15-18, 2022 at the St. John’s Convention Centre, St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.
